ECHO 2012 skal legge til rette for at barn og unge kan møtes over alle grenser uten stor digital kunnskap eller lommebok, og at barna selv er sterkt medvirkende i alle ledd. I forprosjektet til Tvillingbilder har barna selv filmet og intervjuet hverandre, - både til kunstnerisk arbeid, men også til dokumentasjon av prosjektet.

ECHO 2012 har i ettertid satt sammen barnas dokumentasjon til små filmsnutter. Alt teknisk utstyr og redigeringsverktøy er gjort med amatørutstyr i den ånd at vanlige mennesker (skoler, organisasjoner, ungdomsklubber etc.) kan gjøre det samme. Vi har lagt vekt på magien ligger i at barn fra hver sin side av jorda møtes for vennskap og får positive opplevelse i møte med nye kulturer.

Vi har delt klasserom gjennom Skype som er projisert på vegg og / eller vist på PC, avhengig av aktivitet og utstyr som har vært i bruk. Digitalt materiale har gått frem og tilbake mellom landene.

Oppgaver skoleprosjekt.
• Selvportrett med viktig melding til de voksne. Bildene er laget for å henge sammen.

• Presentasjon av MEG ("Hello friend!) laget av elevene selv i Power Point hvor de snakker om interesser og forteller om seg selv. I tillegg skriver de hva de ønsker å vite om det andre landet og barna der. (Disse spørsmålene besvares i senere oppgave.)

• "Hva Marsmenn melder til Mars når de har sett på Jorda." Elevene lagde verdensrom med planeter og Marsmenn. Dette ble filmet og fotografert. Senere ble det digiatel materialet projisert på barna mens de snakket om hva de trodde Marsmenn ville tenkt om jorda.

• "Jeg får ikke sove!" Elevene lagde små soverom i pappesker som ble filmet og fotografert. I ettertid har de stått i hverandres projiserte soverom mens de har snakket om hva barn tenker på når de ikke får sove.

• "Presentasjon av skolen vår og landet vårt". Basert på hva elevene har stilt av spørsmål til hverandre tidligere, holdt de foredrag via Skype. Der ble blant annet brødskive med gulost, ski og Holmekollen presentert. Ettersom Let's Art Children's Art Center er en kunstskole, presenterte de også Munch og Grieg. Munch-foredraget ble avsluttet med et unisont SKRIK, mens Grieg ble presentert gjennom teater. I Korea ble deres presentasjon avsluttet med dans. Og selvfølgelig, - de snakket engelsk begge veier!

• Filmintervju med ordfører Fabian Stang. Ettersom Tvillingbildene skulle males på Oslo Rådhus, syntes elevene det var naturlig å snakke med ordføreren om Nobels Fredspris som deles ut på Rådhuset og tema vennskap. Kastellet skole fikk av ordføreren Obama's vannflaske som sto igjen på ordførerkontoret, - noe som selvsagt var stor stas. Intervjuet ble holdt på engelsk og er blant materialet som skal vises på utstillingen på Verdenskonferansen i forkant av at Tvillingbildene males. Intervjuet ble likevel avsluttet med et spørsmål som elevene syntes var spennende å høre: "Liker du å feste? Liker du å svømme?"

• Skype møte: Budksap i Tvillingbildene. Hva vil elevene si til de voksne i Tvillingbildene, og hvordan skal budskapet formidles visuelt?
Skoleprosjektet ender opp i:
• Felles film (intro) til at Tvillingbildene males
• Digital / papir utstilling
• Skolenes egen "bok" hvor de settes sammen alt materiale
• Elevenes egne filmsnutter med intervjuer og dokumentasjon av prosjektet.
Prosjektet har også vært morsomme verktøy for skolens læringsplan i fagene norsk, engelsk, samfunnsfag, kunst- og håndverk.

Skoleprosjekt Let's Art og Kastellet skole

FORPROSJEKT: KASTELLET SKOLE (NORGE) OG LET'S ART CHILDREN'S ART CENTER (KOREA) DELER KLASSEROM OG KUNSTWORKSHOPS GJENNOM SKYPE OG VIDEOKAMERA

Elever fra 5. trinn på Kastellet skole og barn (7 – 14 år) fra Let’s Art Children’s Art Center i Korea skulle male Tvillingbilder – sammen – på Unescos Verdenskonferanse i Seoul mai 2010. Tvillingbilder er malerier som males ved bruk av videokonferanse og projektor. Barna malte på like store lerret, og det som ble malt i det ene landet ble projisert på lerretet i det andre landet og visa versa. Vi fikk to like bilder, derav navnet TVILLINGBILDER. Gjennom bildene skulle barna i de to landene fortelle de voksne hvordan jorda kan bli fin – for alle.

I Korea ble Tvillingbildene malt på selve verdenskonferansen, og i Norge på Oslo Rådhus. Her er det Nobells Fredspris deles ut, og vi syntes dette var et fint sted å male bilder som skaper kommunikasjon og vennskap.

Men først skulle elevene ha et felles skoleprosjekt hvor da skal samarbeidet om felles kunstoppgaver. Formålet med skoleprosjektet var at de skulle bli kjent å føle seg trygge, og de sullel få bevissthet til hvilket budskap de ville fortelle de voksne gjennom Tvillingbildene.

Prosjektoppgavene fungerte som gode verktøy til skolens læringsplan. Barna har selv filmet både det kunstneriske materialet, intervjuer og dokumentasjon av prosjektet. Elevenes filmer ser du til høyre i menyen.

Images that creates friendship and communication

Gemini Images a completely new format for working with art across all boundaries through videoconferencing. The children create a common picture and one will shake hands, talk, etc. while they work. The painting in one country is projected on screen in the other country. We get two identical images, - hence the name Twin Pictures.

The purpose of the "Twin Pictures" is to promote dialogue and cooperation across cultural, social and geographic boundaries. Through artistic expression, the project will promote the interest and acceptance of diversity, giving kids the opportunity to convey the thoughts and opinions to a wider audience. The conference makes the children shared pictures with messages to the adults about how the Earth might be good for ALL.

Children Norway and Korea shows a world of hope and friendship.

From each side of the earth, children of 5 on the steps of Kastellet school in Norway and Let's Art Children's Art Center in Korea to speak - on the same - to government leaders, ministry people, specialists in art and education - and the international press. They will tell how the world can be good - for everyone! It takes place on Unesco's World Conference in Seoul, May 2010.

Pilot project - Kastellet school in Norway and Let's Art Children's Art Center in Korea.

Prior to the World Conference has the children in Norway and Korea completed a school project where the purpose was to get to know each other through working with art and social media together and find out what they want to say to the adults at the World Conference. The children have to work with angles to the friendship and children's thoughts on how we have it on earth. Art work has been digitalized and further developed in both countries, so the children are working artistic team on team. Together, the children arrived at the message it wants to convey to the adults at the exhibition during the World Conference in May.

Simple digital solutions / social media.

ECHO 2012 to encourage ordinary people can meet all limits without much knowledge or digital wallet. The children themselves have filmed and interviewed each other - both to artistic work, but also to the documentation of the project. ECHO 2012 has since put together the children's dokuementasjon to small movie clips. All technical equipment and editing is done with amateur equipment in the spirit that ordinary people (schools, organizations, youth clubs, etc.) can do the same. We have emphasized the magic lies in the fact that children from either side of the Earth meet for friendship and have positive experiences in meeting with new cultures. We have divided the classroom through Skype which is projected on the wall and / or displayed on a PC, depending on the activity and urstyr who have been in use. Digital media has gone back and forth between countries.

Presentation of ME made by pupils themselves in the Power Point, where they talk about interests and tell about themselves. In addition, they write what they want to know about the other country and the children there. (These questions are answered in later task.)
"What Men March report to March when they have seen on Earth." Pupils made space with planets and Mars Men. This was filmed and photographed. Later, digiatel material projected on the children as they talked about what they thought men would have thought in March about the Earth.
"I can not sleep!" The students made small bedrooms in cardboard boxes that were filmed and photographed. In retrospect, they have stood in each other's projected bedroom while they talked about what children think about when they can not sleep.
"Presentation of our school and our country." Based on what students have set of questions to each other before, they held talks via Skype. There, among other slice of bread with cheese, and Holmenkollen Ski presented. As Let's Art Children's Art Center is an art school, presented the Munch and Grieg's. Munch lecture ended with a scream in unison, while Grieg was presnetert through theater. In Korea's presentation was concluded with dance. And of course - they spoke English either way!

As the twin pictures will be painted on the Oslo City Hall, seemed the students it was natural to talk with the mayors of the prize awarded at the City Hall and the topic of friendship. Kastellet school got from ordøreren Obama's water bottle that was left in the mayor office - which themselves act was a big fuss. The interview was held in English and is among the material to be displayed at the exhibition at the World Conference in advance of the twin images painted. Interviewer was nevertheless concluded with a question that students felt was exciting to hear: "You like to fix? Do you like to swim?"
